Legislators Need Legal Contracts Not Oaths

Why, when Congress or the Senate rush bills through without public consumption of the contents, is there not more of an outcry? The only thing that is performed during the bill writing process are backroom deals with fellow legislators for votes or lobbyists in the bill, without public knowledge. I like President Obama's claim on the campaign of promising to publish every bill five days before signing. What happened to that? One can only assume a lot of people will be unhappy and will put pressure on legislators for doing the wrong thing, for we the people, therefore the bill is rushed. As we all know, politicians are sent to Washington to serve us, the people. It's time to harness that again. Here is my proposal:

We have to have legal enforceable contracts with our politicians that state: once elected you must not have any negative ties to lobbyists, publish what your vote will be on a bill 30 days before the vote and why you're voting this way. The most important issue, let us, the people, see the bill 30 days before it is passed. There is no need to rush a bill unless you are hiding something. Lobbying must become illegal or every association and contact with a lobbyist must be scripted. Our only problem is Congress and the Senate must pass this. This is the loophole in our checks and balances. Once that is done....if they fail to hold their end of the contract their seat is revoked and they are kicked out of office. We need real contracts and hold all responsible to kick special interests out of DC once and for all.

In the real world, no one performs a job for someone else without a contract. Why should this be different? Especially, when the stakes are so high. Politicians are independent contractors and should be treated as such. They don't own the seat they fill, they're renting it because we the people sent them to perform a job for us. In business, if you feel you're getting robbed you drop the contract on go with someone else. Perhaps, if this was done, many power hungry politicians would not have an incentive for serving which would clean the ranks. Long live, we the people in control of our own government!

Long Live Freedom In the Age Of Subliminal Socialism!

The country has been drifting toward gov't controlled policies for years. Certain groups are called Conservatives when in actuality they have stayed grounded in American culture and tradition, where the political factions have moved away from mainstream America. Conservatives are true freedom preserving Centrists, according to the constitution. It is so evident today where the shift has occurred, in the so called, "mainstream media" and most politicians.

A perfect example of this, is Glenn Beck exposing the green czar to Obama, Van Jones. Van Jones has held many radical views which Beck exposed early on. Even then, the mainstream media picked up on it after he resigned, citing Van Jones called Republicans "assholes'" and signed a document stating he was a 9/11 truther. No mention of the most important facts, such as: he was a vowed communist, white people were polluting blacks and his radio statement which was most concerning. Van Jones stated the green movement was a way to transform the government and the current system. Instead of reporting on the issue, NBC, who has a big stake in the green industry, rolled another "think green" commercial. Where is journalism today? No mention of these things. It appears Glenn Beck and some other Fox News shows are into facts whereas the mainstream media has an evident agenda. Thank god for Glenn Beck and other Centrists who are looking for facts and not trying to pollute the minds of average citizens.

The dissection of Glenn Beck really makes this case. MSNBC and other "in the tank" networks are pathetic in their attempt to be fair and balanced. Sometimes I'll watch MSNBC for kicks and there is never any mention of what is going on now politically, other than, the republicans are in trouble or hating on Bush and Cheney. Glenn Beck is bashed just because of his personality. The "place for politics," my ass. How about the most biased network on tv. That is the reason they are in last place in the ratings. Do you get it yet? Americans don't want partisan dribble, they want facts and if you can't provide it to them, they will go somewhere else. Glenn Beck, you have done your job sir and I commend you. Long live American freedom in the age of subliminal socialism!

The Fight To Preserve Liberty

I am feeling real change. Americans who made the mistake and voted Obama in are actually resending their vote by observing what is happening.. White guilt, I believe has run it's course. Most Americans did not want socialist policies but behold, they are sitting at the congressional table. Did you not believe what the democratic candidate said on his candidacy tour? Perhaps you were overwhelmed with him being the first black president or you just didn't care and liked his personality. If you believed in what he said, please don't let him and Congress change this country. This is the last free-market society. As Ronald Reagan stated, "America is the last best hope on earth." If you like those policies please move to Europe or most other countries where the gov't has a lot of control. Keep America, the only country where liberty reigns. WHY HAVEN'T WE LEARNED FROM PAST MISTAKES?

I asked a question on Yahoo before the Presidential election. The question was, "do you think Obama will help or hurt small business?" Most responses were in favor of Obama. Why? A bone was thrown, as it was to most Americans, tax cuts. An $8 a week tax cut compared to astronomical taxes in the future with crippling business operations minus gov't preferenced big corporation bailouts and total dominance.

Plain and simple, Obama wants the gov't and selected businesses to be apart of everyone's life. Is that what you want? To send your money into the gov't and let them disperse your hard earned funds as they see fit? Or, only be able to shop and engage at businesses approved and bailed out by the gov't? Joe Blow, who doesn't work, will definitely benefit. A free-market is what America was based on. Individuals, not experts and so called "elites" shall decide their own destiny. DON'T TREAD ON ME!

Traitors In Our Midst

America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. We've all heard it and felt it but both are not part of the American gov't these days. Free, everyday, Congress is in session passing erroneous laws and we loose more freedom for their benefit. Brave, what's brave about appeasing foreign nations when they state they want to contribute to our demise? What has happened to the home of the brave and the land of the free?

I believe most Americans feel they are free (before the bills hit them) and are definitely brave. The problem lies with the self loathing gov't who apparently, in my observation, wants total control, which is destroying American sovereignty. You, as the American public mean nothing, as long as they can cram bill after bill down your throat without you noticing. Perhaps it will make sense to you, when it's already too late.

Nathan Hale stated, ""I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country," while he was being hung by the British. Could you imagine Obama, Boxer, Feingold, Pelosi, Frank, Schumer or any of the cowardice Senators or Representatives when backed in corner making that statement. No, they would state, "Let's make a deal!" Don't make a deal on my freedom, boot 'em out!

The Global Warming Scam

We are living in an age where laws are passed with the excuse of "supposed" expert analysis without the other side allowed to debate. We have always been told there are two sides to every story, not in this case. Global warming is one such non-debate where we are told carbon emissions result in global warming. There is much debate about this issue among scientists without giving the "fact oriented wanting to dissect more" group the time of day. The cap and trade bill shows that some of our elected officials are willing to pass a bill ,which in economic crises would raise the average family of four's utility bills up to $3,000 a year, according to the EPA. Here is unproven science infringing on our rights, to force us to pay for something that possibly doesn't exist? Yes, but certain politicians would benefit from this tremendously such as investments in green energy and gov't control of the energy sector. It kind of sounds like Chavez in Venezuela nationalizing the energy sector. Do we want individual freedom or "the great society" full of tyranny where decisions are made at the government level and not in your backyard. Where is the free market in that? The politicians at the heart of this battle for pro-rush this bill before the public sees it, always claim they're for free enterprise when in fact they would crush it. The GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO STAY OUT OF BUSINESS for the benefit of all Americans and the founding of our country as a free market. I for one, choose individual freedom over tyranny.

What happened to the President's promise to publish the bill in it's entirety five days before a vote would be taken? I can't think of one bill that wasn't forced through at record speed without publication. He is President now, he can do whatever he wants. He doesn't have to answer to the American public for another three years. Stand up for your rights and demand debate before rushing through a bill, which in some estimates would give the gov't 16% of the economy, crushing free enterprise.

Facts Should Rule Over PC

Let's take PC a step further to alleviate the first layer of reverse discrimination which is saying or doing anything that questions the so called "elite" and minorities. The first should, by now, have been something in the past but the truth of the matter is the minority groups just don't want submission they want control (Jessee Jackson, Al Sharpton.) With that being said, that takes it to the next layer which is what many minorities due in a pinch. The assertion of the white male being in power for the last four hundred years, therefore cannot claim reverse discrimination let alone stand up for themselves and don't have a chance. They have to lay down and accept whatever is thrown in front of them, right or wrong.

It is extremely aggravating with people who do not adhere to facts but use the race card. All logic is thrown out the window for PC. The biggest subliminal message that rubs me the wrong way is reading between the lines in the PC world which is, if your a White male and face discrimination, who cares? You dished it out for centuries and have many big profile people in key positions. As Jonah Goldberg basically states in liberal fascism, not quoting, "the white man of America has become the Jew of Hitler's Germany in an obviously less harsh way." To take it a step further and move beyond the crackpot notion of institutional racism behold: Whites are 66% of the population in this country. If you really want to represent the country how about this, the facts. Blacks make up 12%, Hispanics 15%, other groups 7%. So, looking at the facts, one would assume out of every ten people, one would be Black, two Hispanic and other groups and seven would be White. The last time I watched basketball, I tell you those numbers were very skewed. Why haven't Whites and other minorities called for more diversity in basketball and football? The logical answer is because they are the best at what they do. Yes...the logical answer which is perfect for the minority but not the majority.

I never owned slaves or was in leadership over other people during those times. Second of all, I thought everything minority groups were fighting for was equality? Where's the equality in discriminating against the White man? These are questions that have to be brought up in order to alleviate the race card and bring a deeper discussion about the facts at hand. Otherwise, our country will be hitting the skids quickly. There is no unity in racial preference of any sort.

P.S. Funny thing is, I could be branded a racist after this article but the FACT of the matter is I want equality for all.

We Need A Grassroots Party

I beg you, as an American, to listen to WE THE PEOPLE. What ever happened to that? Now more than ever, faulty policies lined with special interests are thrown in our face. Upwards of eighty percent of the American public want border control without amnesty, yet 3/4 of the politicians in Washington want to grant amnesty and continue the taxpayer dole for medical and welfare benefits. This is one of many issues. When citizens are being misrepresented that bad, it's time to throw a new party in the ring.

The problem is this: How can we construct and raise funds for a third party without having loyalty to special interests? There is one way around this and that is for the eighty percent of Americans through grassroots organizations to get the information needed to be successful in overthrowing our self loathing representatives through the internet. The media will not show up unless you have a name for yourself through mounds of money. Therefore, I propose a vast network of all grassroots organizations to fight politicians, corrupt institutions and lobbyists to take our country back and give it to WE THE PEOPLE. Let's keep America the way it was founded, with self responsibility and with allowable government intervention such as, national defense, infrastructure and support for true disabled and elderly individuals.

Dear California

Dear California,

I was once proud to associate your state with my country. Unfortunately, years of social policies lined with special interest groups being funded by individuals and companies without their consent has taken it's toll. The majority of people in California have said no, to yet, more new taxes. I wonder why that is? You've taken from the people way too long. Many have already left your state for being too oppressive. Now, try to get the individuals who have taken advantage of the system to pay the bills. How will you support those people now? Maybe, you will have to cut taxes and bring some incentive back to draw the responsible individuals to pay for the leeches. This leaves you between a rock and hard place. So, Governor do you have a plan for this? You want to sell taxpayer owned buildings. Do you think anyone will want to buy these structures and face your taxes? Wait a minute. These buildings were payed for with taxpayer dollars anyways, how can you sell them? You do not have the right to sell them.

Plan number two, get states that were fiscally responsible to pay for your radical funding for useless programs. Sorry, that's not going to happen. The third plan is the only one that will work now and in the future. Cut taxes and give California back to the people that earned it and made it the eleventh largest economy in the world. Bring back the entrepreneurship that made California what it once was or you will be asking for a bailout every year. If people really care about the seals, the funds will show up through private non-profit groups versus all the taxpayers paying for them. You can't force everyone to pay for personal pet projects/special interests without disdain. I hope you have learned your lesson and will do what's best for the state. My worst fear is the federal government ending up like you.

Are We Going To Let This Happen

My fellow citizens, how did we let it get this bad? America is turning into socialistic Europe . Aren't we the country people flock to, to give themselves the best chance of being successful and living the American dream? That is slowly changing, I'm sorry, it's happening fast without the American public knowing about it. It appears that the American public isn't too concerned about the president's issues as much as his personality. Wake up for god's sake. Yes I said GOD'S SAKE. Are we going to let countless wars against oppression be for nothing, while a few years down the road living it ourselves without foreign influence? We did not fight for socialism. We fought for individual freedom.

Why are our politicians so out of step with the American public? Why is the American public so out of step with the politicians? It's very simple. There aren't any journalists anymore as far as reporting both sides of the issues. Or, for that matter, reporting the story at all if it doesn't fit the criteria for the media outlet or the reporter's agenda. Give me the truth!

The truth about America is that we are the last beckon of hope for individuals who want to make the best of themselves. Individuals who have the drive to succeed, will succeed in America. Why do we want to quell that? Because some individuals do not have any drive? You do that and unfortunately taxpayer dollars will dry up and the economy will stop, then a dictator steps in. With the current president and congress the American dream is fading fast. We need to reward success not failure. That is what keeps things going and makes people be the best they can be. After all, this is America. Let's remain the place of individual freedom without gov't suppression.
